Important Service Message Regarding COVID-19
Unfortunately due to COVID-19 we are closed for the whole month of April. We optimistically hope to open the Marton Guest House on the 1st May although this can only happen if the States of Guernsey lift the current restriction of whoever enters Guernsey, no matter where from, must self-isolate for a period of 14 days.
If this restriction is still in force then the proposed opening date will change.
Welcome to The Marton
Set in a quiet elevated residential area of St. Peter Port, and just a 10 minute walk from the town centre.
Liberation Day 75th Anniversary
9th May 2020 is the 75th anniversary of Guernsey’s Liberation, commemorating the Islands’ freedom from German Occupation during World War II. It will be a day not to be missed!
As well as Liberation Day itself, there will be 75 specially themed events taking place throughout the whole year, details of which will be available soon.
Liberation Day continues to be an important day in the history of the Islands. Start planning your visit today and be a part of this very special celebration!

Victor Hugo’s House
For fourteen years, Hauteville House was home to famous French writer Victor Hugo, during his time in exile from France. Hugo spent his time there writing his masterpieces, as well as personally decorating the house. The House has re-opened in the beginning of April 2019 after 18 months of restoring the house.
